WHAT IS AN EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT (ER Appt)?

If available, your stylist will book a special after hours appointment on their regular off-day, or before or after their normal working hours to accommodate you. The ER Appt Fee is a flat rate of $125 to get on the schedule in addition to your regular service cost. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. (Non-transferable if you are unable to reschedule within the current booking period.)

WHAT IF I’M LATE OR NEED TO CANCEL?

You will be granted a 15 minute grace period for being late. Services cannot be guaranteed beyond that time, please confirm with your stylist.

CANCEL POLICY: Please notify your stylist no less than 48 hours prior to your appointment. Cancelation within 1 day of service. No Show. And Same Day Cancellation Fee = 50% of Original Service Booked After Deposit Balance.

FAILURE TO PAY NO SHOW OR LAST MINUTE CANCEL FEES WILL PREVENT FUTURE BOOKING PRIVILEGES.

*ANY APPLICABLE CLASS FEES, OR HAIR APPOINTMENT FEES/DEPOSITS PAID ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE. (Unless your stylist or instructor needs to cancel) Non-transferable if you are unable to reschedule within the current booking period - which is done 2 months at a time. Non-transferable to other clients. (For example: friends/family members)

CAN I BRING MY CHILD/FRIENDS WITH ME TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Please do not bring any children or other guests with you to your appointment who are not receiving services. Unless your child is receiving services, take advantage of your time and enjoy some self care! Please confirm with your stylist for special circumstances if we need to accommodate you.

DO YOU ONLY DO ETHNIC HAIR?

What is ethnic hair really? We service ALL HAIR TYPES… And guess what? Your hair type isn’t determined by your skin color or ethnic heritage.

DO YOU USE CHEMICALS TO GET YOUR CLIENT’S CURLS TO LOOK SO GOOD?

No, LaTonya’s detox and regular wash and go services are completely natural! She uses a specialized technique of cleansing, conditioning, and defining the curls with great products and simple care.

LATONYA, WHY DO I NEED TO SCHEDULE A DETOX SERVICE BEFORE I CAN GET A REGULAR WASH & GO or CURLY CUT SERVICE?

In my experience, 90% of people in our curly hair communities have issues with frizz, dryness, and wash & go styles that simply don’t last, and lack definition. My detox service brings out curls most people never new they had, and I provide you with the tools and knowledge you need to perfect this easy style. My regular wash & go and curly cuts are only for those who already know how to show up with their curls poppin, free from oils and other unnecessary lotions and potions.

LATONYA, WHY DON’T YOU DO BRAIDS WITH EXTENSIONS?

First of all, I do what I want cause that’s my business. Haha! But no seriously, I no longer have the stamina or desire to offer braid services that take longer than 2 hours to complete. Plus, there are SO MANY amazingly talented braiders in the state of Utah you can visit (especially my partner Damia). My specialty is with real hair care and styling. If you aren’t interested in, or able to wear your real hair, I do offer wig services.

DAMIA, IS HAIR INCLUDED WITH YOUR WEAVE SERVICES?

Not at this time, however I will be offering hair sales in the near future!

HOW DO I ARRIVE FOR BRAIDS ONLY? (NO WASH/CONDITION)

Your hair must be shampooed, conditioned, and completely blow dried with NO PRODUCT or OILS. Your stylist will ensure all styling and necessary products will be used for your style to keep your hair healthy. If you are unable to arrive ready to be braided, book a full service braid appointment, or add on option that includes a wash, condition, blow dry, & trim.

WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY A DEPOSIT FOR SOME SERVICES?

When 3+ hours of time is blocked out, this policy protects our time should you decide to cancel. This career we have chosen is how we feed our families, please take that into consideration when booking. All class and hair appointment fees/deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. (Unless your stylist or instructor has to cancel.)

WHY CAN’T YOU GIVE ME A FINAL QUOTE FOR COLOR SERVICES?

Different hair types have different needs, and with color services that require multiple processes, we are not able to quote a specific price over the phone. Final pricing is based on ounces used. However, consultations are available to discuss your needs and pricing options.

WHY DO I NEED A CONSULT BEFORE COLOR SERVICES?

Depending on your desired look, it’s not guaranteed that we’ll have everything necessary to formulate your color. This allows your stylist time to fully prepare for your appointment.

CAN I GET A RELAXER AND COLOR IN THE SAME APPOINTMENT?

Yes, with limits; however not everyone’s hair can handle this. Options and results will vary.

WHAT IF I’M PREGNANT OR HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION?

Please disclose any medical conditions and/or prescription medications you’re currently taking, as some services may be contraindicated. Always be honest if you have any allergies, sensitivities, or if you are pregnant to avoid any complications or adverse reactions to services.

WHAT’S YOUR RETURN POLICY?

PRODUCT REFUNDS: If you’re dissatisfied with any of our wigs or hair care products, full refunds are available within 15 days.

HAIR SERVICE REFUNDS: If you’re dissatisfied with any hair care service, or have an adverse reaction to any chemical service, refunds are available within 1 day. We will always do our best to ensure your satisfaction, and will be more than happy to find a resolution to any problems with your hair to improve your experience first! However, if you’d rather simply get a refund let us know.

DO YOU HAVE TO TAKE MY PICTURE OR SHOOT VIDEO DURING MY APPOINTMENT?

No, absolutely not! We always ask permission before doing so. Taking pictures helps us learn. We are always trying to improve our skills. It also helps our community see how we’ve helped so many young girls and women learn to love their hair. If you are concerned about privacy, there is no requirement for us to take any pictures or share them on social media.
